Slide 1 of 5 - Petrol Prices - Motorists are unlikely to see any significant relief at the bowser until mid-May. Oil prices fell sharply when the two-week ceasefire in the Iran war was announced on Wednesday. Analysts warn that any benefits will take weeks or months to reach Australia. Energy markets are closely watching for the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz shipping lane. The market had thought more supplies would be coming and prices have risen slightly.

Slide 1 of 4 - Ceasefire in Iran - Donald Trump has suspended attacks on Iran for two weeks as part of a "double-sided ceasefire". Earlier, he warned that a "whole civilisation will die" unless the warring countries reached a deal. The ceasefire was agreed to after Pakistan, a key player in negotiations, urged Mr Trump to delay his deadline by a fortnight. Iran's foreign minister said safe passage through the vital Strait of Hormuz would also be possible "via coordination with Iran's Armed Forces".
