A workout class sent this St. John's woman to hospital. She's not the only one - One woman was admitted with a life-threatening condition called exercise-induced or exertional rhabdomyolysis, rhabdo for short. The illness can happen after an intense workout and is when muscle tissue breaks down, leaking enzymes and proteins into the bloodstream.
